Graced Through Faith – FAQ

I usually recommend the NIV or ESV, but the best translation is the one that helps you consistently read God’s Word and grow in your faith.

A great place to start is with one of the Gospels, Mathew, Mark, Luke or John, and read a little each day while praying for understanding. I also have blog posts about Bible reading and Bible journaling that may help you build a consistent and meaningful time in God’s Word.

Christianity and Faith – FAQ
I was born into a Christian family, but my faith became personal through my own journey. As someone who had a mysterious sickness that no doctor could diagnose , I spent years searching for healing and answers. Along the way, I explored African traditional beliefs, followed prosperity-focused teachings, and even looked into some New Age ideas. I also went through a season of doubt and lukewarm faith.
Despite all my searching, I found myself returning to Jesus. In Him, I experienced healing, restoration, peace, and a renewed purpose. Christianity is not just the faith I was raised in, it’s the faith I chose because I have personally experienced the love and faithfulness of Jesus Christ.
Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and that Christians are called to place their faith in Him alone. While Christians can learn about other religions and beliefs, following teachings that contradict the Bible can create conflict with Christian faith. Christians are encouraged to seek truth through God’s Word and a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Yes. Many faithful Christians have experienced doubts and questions throughout their spiritual journey. Doubt does not automatically mean a lack of faith; it can be an opportunity to seek God more deeply. The Bible encourages believers to ask questions, seek wisdom, and grow in understanding while trusting God even when they do not have all the answers.
Start by looking for a church that teaches the Bible faithfully, centers its message on the Trinitarian God, and encourages spiritual growth. Learn about different denominations, attend services, ask questions, and pray for wisdom. While denominations differ on some practices and traditions, the most important thing is finding a church that helps you grow closer to Christ and live out your faith.
Difficult seasons are a part of life, even for Christians. During hard times, turn to God in prayer, read Scripture, and seek support from trusted believers and your church community. Remember that God promises to be with His people through every trial. While challenges may not disappear immediately, Christians find strength, comfort, and hope by trusting God and relying on His guidance.
Fun and Personal – FAQ
Watching the 2001 solar eclipse, unforgettable moment
You’ll usually find me watching Christian YouTubers or a cooking show, hanging out with friends, or enjoying nature/ God’s creation. I love learning new things, and making great memories with the people around me.
And if I’m not doing any of those things, I’m probably catching up on sleep! 😄
Most people are surprised to learn that I’m actually an introvert! I also have a degree in Public Relations, which often catches people off guard.
Another fun fact: I was very athletic as a child. In fact, I was the first junior (primary school) Sports Captain at my school, a role I was incredibly proud to hold.
Definitely John. Imagine being the person who received the visions recorded in Revelation and got a glimpse of the end times! I would have so many questions for him. I’d want to hear what it was like to walk with Jesus, receive those incredible revelations, and understand the details behind everything he saw. Safe to say, dinner would probably turn into an all-night conversation.
I relate most to Ruth. Her words, “Your God will be my God” (Ruth 1:16), stand out to me because they reflect a deep commitment to God. Ruth’s story reminds me of choosing faith, trusting God through uncertainty, and staying faithful even when the journey is not easy.
