There are seasons in life when the prayers you’ve prayed for years finally begin to unfold. Doors open. Opportunities come. Dreams become reality. While these moments are beautiful reminders of God’s faithfulness, they can also become some of the busiest seasons of our lives.
Ironically, the very blessings we’ve asked God for can sometimes compete for the time we once spent with Him.
I’ve been reflecting on this truth lately. As exciting opportunities continue to unfold, including launching new eBooks, creating more Christian resources, and renewing my website to better serve readers, I’ve realized something important: none of these accomplishments matter if Jesus is no longer at the center.
The goal isn’t simply to become productive.
The goal is to remain faithful.
Answered Prayers Are Just the Beginning
It’s easy to think that once God answers our prayers, we’ve reached the destination.
In reality, answered prayers often mark the beginning of a new season of stewardship.
Perhaps you’ve prayed for a new job, a ministry opportunity, healing, financial provision, or the courage to finally pursue what God placed on your heart.
When those prayers begin to unfold, life naturally becomes fuller. There are more responsibilities, more decisions, and more people depending on you.
Yet God’s invitation remains the same.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33
The blessings should never replace the Blesser.
God’s Promises Require Our Faithfulness
Throughout Scripture, we see that God fulfills His promises, but His people are called to walk faithfully while they wait, and even after they receive them.
Receiving the promise isn’t the finish line.
It’s another opportunity to trust Him.
Sometimes we become so focused on building what God has entrusted to us that we slowly neglect the relationship with the One who entrusted it to us.
Whether you’re starting a business, serving in ministry, writing a book, raising a family, or pursuing a calling, your greatest success will always be your walk with Christ.
Keeping Jesus at the Center
One lesson God continues to teach me is that success isn’t measured by completed projects.
It’s measured by obedience.
As I’ve worked on launching my eBooks and renewing my website, there have been many tasks to complete. It’s exciting to watch years of prayer and preparation begin to bear fruit.
But I’ve also learned that before opening my laptop, I need to open my Bible.
Before checking emails, I need to spend time in prayer.
Before planning my schedule, I need to surrender it to God.
Those simple choices help keep Jesus where He belongs, at the very center of everything.
When Christ is at the center, our work becomes worship.
Our goals become opportunities to glorify Him.
Our achievements become testimonies of His faithfulness rather than our own abilities.

Don’t Outgrow Your Dependence on God
One of the greatest dangers during busy seasons is believing we can handle everything ourselves.
Busyness can quietly replace dependence.
We start relying on calendars, productivity apps, and endless to-do lists while spending less time seeking God’s direction.
Yet Jesus reminds us:
“Apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
No amount of success can replace His presence.
No achievement can satisfy our hearts the way Jesus can.
The closer we grow to Him, the more clearly we recognize that every answered prayer, every opportunity, and every open door is a gift of His grace.
Practical Ways to Stay Faithful
If life feels busy right now, here are a few simple reminders:
- Start each day with God before starting your work.
- Thank Him regularly for answered prayers.
- Invite Him into every decision, big or small.
- Protect time for Scripture, even during busy seasons.
- Remember that your identity is found in Christ, not your accomplishments.
- Celebrate progress while giving God the glory.
Remember Who Opened the Door
Sometimes we spend years praying for opportunities.
Then, when they finally arrive, we become so occupied with walking through the door that we forget who opened it.
May we never become so busy building the life God has given us that we neglect the God who gave it.
Every answered prayer is another reason to worship.
Every fulfilled promise is another reminder of His faithfulness.
Every new season is another invitation to walk even more closely with Jesus.
As I continue launching new eBooks, improving this website, and pursuing the work God has placed before me, my prayer is simple:
Lord, never let Your gifts become greater than Your presence in my life. Keep my heart fixed on You above everything else.
Because at the end of the day, the greatest blessing isn’t the answered prayer.
It’s walking every day with the One who answered it.
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for hearing every prayer and for being faithful to Your promises. Help us never become so busy enjoying Your blessings that we forget to spend time with You. Keep our hearts centered on Jesus in every season, whether we are waiting, working, or celebrating answered prayers.
Teach us to seek Your Kingdom first, to trust You with every opportunity, and to glorify You through every accomplishment. May everything we build point others back to You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
