
Embracing the Journey of Healing
Life has a way of putting us through cycles, some painful, some transformative. These experiences often leave us with emotional wounds that need healing. Whether it’s trauma, disappointment, or shame, true healing begins with God, and its possible to heal from your broken past.
Everyone’s journey is different, but one truth remains: we are not meant to carry our brokenness alone. Our healing is not just a personal need, it’s also a spiritual calling. Here are 5 powerful, biblical ways to begin healing from your past and walk boldly into the future God has for you.

1. Acknowledge That You Are Hurt
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.”
Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV)
The first step toward healing is recognizing your pain. Many people suppress their emotions, hoping time alone will heal. But unaddressed pain resurfaces, through fear, anxiety, or bitterness.
Being honest with God about how you feel allows the Holy Spirit to work in your heart. As Christians, we are called to live in freedom, not bondage. By acknowledging your wounds, you make space for God’s restoration which helps you heal from your broken past .

Holding on to resentment or hurt only keeps you trapped in the pain. Forgiveness doesn’t mean excusing others’ behavior, it means freeing yourself from its grip.
